Rome Accommodation

Most of the Hotels in Rome are very old and are interesting from historical prospective. Even American hotels can look a little beat old fashioned for typical American traveler. But this is first expression. When start to realize how nice is old furniture in the foyer and ceiling has nice work, very high. Everything is historical; and if walls could say you find many historically interesting. Other thing is very small size of the rooms. If the dress is big and bride will use hotel room for preparation, probably it’s make sense to order larger size rooms than usually, double-room ore sweet.
For your own accommodation we recommend The Inn in the Spanish steps and The Inn in the Forum. These hotels have very good reviews and very friendly personal, nice services and rooms, perfect location. We didn’t stay there, but made research and saw The Inn in the Spanish steps “in person”. Hotel looked very nice.
We stayed in the De la Ville Intercontinental hotel, near Spanish steps and famous the Hassler Hotel. It was good hotel with good servicers and ok prices. Most of the rooms have balconies and terraces. Also they have breakfast place on the terrace café with lemon garden. We will never advice to ask hotel to iron your wedding dress, because it’s extremely pricy. They sent my dress somewhere and bring back with light mark from iron and huge sum in the tag, I still don’t believe it was 220 EU, what was almost 470 US doll! And breakfast on the terrace was not worst of the price. Also, try to find your own beauty salon in the city instead of using hotel spa and beauty salon. It’s extremely pricy and again isn’t worse of it!
The best room choice was sweet with a terrace executive with balcony (it was terrace?). It was good compromise between comfort and price (350 EU). The room was nice and clean. The terrace was decorated with beautiful plants and sculptures. Penthouse executive Rooftop room had a huge difference in comfort and decoration from others, but it was very pricy. Also terrace from that room with roof terrace looked on the construction crane and works were in progress.
My parents were accommodated in the nice 4 stars hotel with name Mecenato Palace hotel. Its look like they got their best servicers and prices (170 EU)! It’s located in front of famous church of Saint Maria Maggiore. Near are Coliseum and Forum. Parents room had nice view on the church and had good breakfast included in the room price. We liked to visit them and had breakfast on the terrace together. Terrace has view on the church and square on front of it. It was much better, than our 5 star hotel breakfast. Room was small, but clean. Lobby services were very polite and helpful. |
