Before you choose your destination wedding dress...

When comes time to choose your destination wedding gown, stop to make fast decision. All traditional wedding dress designs and dresses you dreamed about before you decide to have destination wedding, your mothers wedding dress, all of this may be not useful. Before making your choice on exact destination wedding dress, think how to make destination-wedding day stress-free! Many questions need to be answered.

• If you decided to send your dress by post, do you have big enough box and is it met all postal rules?
• Is your box safe enough for traveling?
• How your gown will look after arrival?
• Does it have bone corset, gentle design elements and other especial details, what can be broken?
• Are you prepared morally and financially, do you have alternative solution in the case if your package will lost or destroyed during transportation?
• Do you have enough time to alteration and fixing your dress on the figure and sending it, how long it will take and is it too pricy?
• If you decided to carry your dress, is it has size and weight what possible to hold and hang in your hands?
• Will somebody help you with other luggage?

It will be difficult to fit a big dress with a chapel train and many skirts in the overhead compartment. Don’t check your wedding dress with the rest of the luggage. Luggage also can be lost, destroyed, delivered several days later...

Do you trust and believe porters that they will be delicate with your "treasure"? You want to call airline ahead to hang your dress in the flight attendants clothier. Probably, travelling in the plane will make your dress wrinkled, even if you use hard suit bag.

Do you or your wedding planer have phones of domestic companies, who will prepare your dress to look it’s best for the wedding. Does your hotel provide pressing of the kind of dresses, what you are going to wear? How pricy it will be to prepare your dress ready for the wedding in the place of your wedding. (Hotels in Italy may care of the gown for fee - 500$!).

After arriving, don’t forget unpack your dress and hang it. Small wrinkles should disappear soon. If dress still looks wrinkled, you need to fix it.
